Hannah and Carlos met while attending a Meetup group visit to the SF Museum of Modern Art. They hit it off over drinks talking about their families. By the end of the evening, Hannah got Carlos' number.


Thinking about it afterwards, Hannah thought maybe she was being too forward and she didn't text him. The next day, when they were both at another Meetup event, it was kind of awkward. They both thought the other person wasn't interested.


Then, a couple days later, Carlos decided not wait for Hannah to contact him and he reached out over a Facebook group to ask Hannah for a date. They went out the next weekend, had an awesome time and have been together ever since! Life lesson: it never hurts to ask!!


The following summer when Carlos' apartment building flooded, he stayed at Hannah's place for a couple weeks. That went so well they decided to choose a new apartment and move in together.


Their lives got a little busier and a lot cuter when Hannah brought home a very chunky little chihuahua-mix pup, Rosie, who she'd met while volunteering at the SF- ASPCA. The three of them continue to live, work and chase chew toys in an apartment on the 30th floor in downtown SF.


It's been a fun journey so far and we can't wait for the next part of our lives together to begin on May 17, 2026!

Will the ceremony be outdoors?
Yes, weather permitting. We recommend planning accordingly. The reception and dinner will be indoors.

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Springhill Suites in Fishkill, NY. Here's the link: Book your group rate for Long La Borde Wedding. These rooms require a two-night stay. They gave us a very slight break on the rate so it might be worth trying to book through a travel website (booking.com, for example) to get a better rate!

There are several good alternative hotels in Fishkill and all are quite close to the Springhill Suites, including Hilton Garden Inn, Courtyard by Marriott, Residence Inn, Hampton Inn and Hyatt House.

These are additional hotels suggested by the good people at Mountainville Manor. Some are closer to the venue than Fishkill so worth a look!
